Lunch Hour

What just happened?!  Not sure…  This morning, I was at my desk at work, then I was at cloudbase making circles, checking out the snowcapped peaks in the backcountry, then I’m at my desk again…  What a trip!  I need more days like today…

Tony had brought my glider to Parma this morning, in case I could get a ticket out of jail.  I showed up just in time to get a ride with Greg on my short escapade.  I drove up with him, Jim W, James, their driver and a student who was going up to the Alternator for his first mountain flight (he picked a pretty darn good day for it!).  They dropped me at Eliminator that was already packed with gliders: Ramey, Tony Deleo, Fast Eddie, Big A., Terry, Tony the Tiger, Hammer, Scottie, and Bernadette + Scottie Jr!! Andy Palmer, JD, and I think Dean were also at the Skyport.  Boated around a low cloudbase for 45 minutes before deciding to land at Parma to get back to work.  As I left, cloudbase was lifting, and many pilots were still cruising around the range… Last I heard, Scottie was headed towards Ojai, Tony Deleo and Hammer were I think even further ahead, and Terry was at the wires…  I’ll let them finish the story…
