Been having a string of good lapse rate, but many of the days had been overdeveloped with low cloudbase.  The day dawned clear, and the air mass was dryer as the pressure rose, so OD wasn't a problem and we had full sun.  There was an early wispy cloud street with a couple different layers.  The stuff out front was a bit over 4, and up on the back ridge it was in the mid 5s.  The clouds mostly faded later in the day, but some of the prime spots continued to have some activity into the mid afternoon.  No clouds out in the Santa Clara River.

Some north wind at dawn, but it backed off by 10 and drew in a bit from the SW at the lower altitudes and ridge line.  Some NW up higher.  Despite the good lapse rate, the lift was a bit inconsistent and weak in places, but good in others.  The combination of weak lift and sink along with some tailwind from the west made for good average speed.

The best altitudes were over the higher terrain.  Castle Ridge was weak, but The Pass and Santa Paula Ridge worked well.
