A calmer day after some wind.  Strong High Pressure.  Moderate Santa Anna all day out the Santa Clara, but very little wind in both SB and Ojai.  Hoping for a good lapse rate, but actual temps were a bit lower than forecast despite full sun, so the lapse was a bit sub par.  The day was slow to light off with dawn surface temps 15 degrees cooler than 6K.  Pilots started launching about 11ish, and it was working better by noon.

The altitudes were a little low for some of the XC obstacles, but you could get around locally ok.  High 3s in SB and mid 4s in Ojai.  The day started to fade after 2 pm, but there were still a couple of weak thermals after 3.

Numerous pilots reported flying to East Beach.
