Skyport to the Beach I had two excellent flights to beach on Friday. Really smooth air, slightly OD'ed, but just enough open space to feel comfortable. The second flight was the best. Watched SD climb to cloud-base over the Monastery under a nicely developed, darky. Looked like fun, so I launched and headed directly there. Not much else was happening, so it was nice to know it was waiting for me! Go there nice and high and had no problem climbing to base. Nobody was around, so I just kept climbing. Its really fun to climb through a cloud knowing your alone, and that there is an easy exit. Came out of the cloud about at about 42 and had the most amazing buoyant glide to beach. Arrived WAY high, lots of fun flying over the ocean, and practicing my asymmetrical spirals. You've got to love SB! Thanks Tom P and Elaine for the rides.
