I would have to say that this last Saturday was the best day of the year. It was surprising as the forecast wasn't that good. In fact the paragliding parking area was vacant. Oooops. Dean was mysteriously absent and a few others made the call to do something else which I'm sure they regret now. It was the nicest lift with killer clouds and thermals with nice, mellow, consistent climb rates. I would like to hear about all the flights.
For myself I was feeling a little bit mellow. Too much excitement from landing at Painted cave a couple days before. The best part of my four hour flight was after arriving at the beach. While boating around at 1200 feet over the Red Lion I caught a little thermal that just didn't stop and it kept drifting and climbing. Eventually topped out at 3500 feet half way to Romero Canyon.
Jah, let's hear about your epic flight, Terry Taggert, Scotty,Bob, Hammer all had insane flights. Jah was landing then decided from 200 over LOWER Parma that he would go to Santa Ynez peak and back. Scotty went to Santa Ynez Peak then tagged Noon Peak and back while Terry Taggert tagged Santa Ynez Peak then flew into Ojai.
Yeah, it was that good!! C'mon, embelish, now is the time.... It doesn't get much better than this.
