My perception of yesterday. Kind of punchy and ratty pushing towards the Topas. Probably due to the East component making things pretty cross to the mountains with some nasty lee side thermals? Our gaggle reached about 4500 feet before making the transition across the valley towards White Ledge. Conditions became slightly less turbulent as we worked our way on to the back ridge. It was pretty wild flying the back line never getting above 5200feet. Austin made a smart move and held back and gained much more altitude, but I had a better view of the rocks back there. We then hit the west wind and coastal influence and it was clear to me that Parma was probably end of course line so I turned back but could never get reestablished onto the higher terrain to get over the hump to Padaro.
