Chiefs to the VOR Spine to Linden Field in Carpinteria

This was Jeff's 3rd flight of the day.
On his first flight Jeff launched from the back ridge and top landed at the primary Chiefs launch
On his 2nd flight, Jeff landed at Chiefs again to correct a gear issue

Thanks Angela and Cole, and good call Eddy.

I went hiking and got lucky, had some goals of exploring new launches, top landing, maybe going over the pass, possibly flying the task, and trying to make it home to avoid retrieve.  It was an interesting day, with wind switching frequently and thermals pulling or pushing in all directions.  It seemed to give me just what was needed to keep going.  I was a little impatient at the end and slipped off the ridge, eventually heading toward Padaro, but managed to get a nice downwind glide that brought me all the way to Carp.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, first SB XC flight in quite awhile. The Ojai race is going to be a blast.
