Cagey Bowl to Piru

And I was ready to cry!  Taking off at 11:00 in overcast skys, I headed eastward where I flushed off the back ridge to 2200' feet where I spent the next 45 minutes trying to get back in the ball game.  Not tanking up on altitude and with Hammer right behind I head over to Noon Peak and missing intersecting the high point by 200'.  Noon Peak and the back ridge are both difficult places in my glider in as much as you need to be in close which sometimes presents real problems for me.  At Noon I spent another 45 minutes to get back into the game.  The days was mixed varying between high clouds and sun light.  I left Santa Paula ridge after another struggle to get established with 6K.  At that point I went to Ron's Roost (Oat Mountain) and flew around for anther hour and twenty minutes trying to get out of there.  Landed shortly there after 51 miles in 5 hours.

Congratulations to Robert.
