to Highway 5 (18 miles)

Ronnie's Roost (Oat Mountain) to Highway 5 (18 miles). Max altitude 4200'.  At the the Interstate over Magic Mountain and at 3500' I had a north/north west headwind of 25 mph.  In rock and roll conditions I landed at a construction site (Newhall Ranch) where the wind was gusting from 15-35 mph.  It took the authorities ie. sheriffs and Magic Mountain Security 2 hours to locate the superintendant to open gate to let vehicle in and me out.  Great day of flying up until I reached Magic Mountain.  Should have landed mile west in calmer conditions.  On the way back home wind was 90 degrees cross to Highway 126.  Ronnie reported gusts of 70 mph at this trailer.
