We had all the ingredients for a good Santa Anna run westbound, except the sun.  It was cold on launch, and the NE component looked good.  The day dawned with a few wispy high clouds and they continued to build.  There were no shadows by noon.  It was clear blue again by 3 pm.

11 o'clock launch, and home by 12.
