Every year I come home from the Rat with a few lessons learned, here's a few from this year.

• There are, and always will be, much better pilots out there than me.
• Know your gps forwards and backwards BEFORE you launch.
• The conservative line won't get you to goal.
• Don't pick your LZ's at the last moment.
• Know where your stabilo lines are at all times.
• Drink half your margarita before you complain to the waiter about it.
• Freelance pharmacists are good.
• Bo likes women with strong hands.
• Rae Lynn makes a good den mother, but don't play poker with her.
• Always sit with your back to the wall when Dean is around.
• And most importantly...DON'T FOLLOW PIPKIN.
