A couple of extended sleders.  Too early on the first flight and too late on the 2nd.

Flight 1.  Caught a ride in an overfull Eagle Bus.  It was blowing in at EJ's about 5 to 10 from the SE.  More wind than cycles with high clouds partially blocking the sun.  Followed the Spin Doctor off and over toward the Peak figuring we could ridge soar up, but here was more wind on launch than just in front of the hill, so not quite enough umph to climb.  Routed around the right side of Cathedral and back to the lower Tit.  Was hoping to make Saint Mary's.  Encountered plenty of extenders, but nothing worth turning for and was able to get on top of the Monastery and dribble down to Upper Parma.

It was warm at Parma and I packed up shirtless before watching Bob, Ron and another pilot land.  Walked up to get my car from the stop sign on Gibraltar road.  More sun was getting through the high clouds and pilots were doing ok during the peak heat between 12:15 and 1 PM.  Stuffed Ron and Bob into the Toyota and headed up for another try.

Flight 2.  Found a volunteer driver at the Skyport to bring my Toyota down.  The high clouds had thickened and the sun angle was getting lower.  Everyone who had been up flushed.  We did start to get more sun through a thinner patch of high clouds, but too little too late?  Broke even for a couple of 360's in front of launch.  Got some extenders at the Factory and the towers behind the Bypass.  Nothing over the Antenna Farm and only a small extender over the Round House.  All that followed from the Skyport took sleders, but I did spot 3 HGs gliding to the beach with good altitude over the freeway about 3:30.

The Eagle crew got all there students off.  Mid day pilots did ok and were able to move around.  The HG crew launched from the Back of the Rack and reportedly did ok.
