Met Ron Faoro at my house about 9:30, and TQ in Ventura a half hour later.  Left Ron's car at Ash Street.  It was windy from the East in Fillmore, so we scouted the entrance to San Cayetano Road off Grand Avenue, but there was a private property / no trespassing sign at the entrance.  Hung out at Ron Gruell's ranch for a while.  Dan Jaeger, Dave Goering, and Mike had spent the night, but Dave had already left by the time we arrived.  It finally calmed down in the canyon, so we went to launch about 2:30, but it was still stiff out of the east on top, gusting to 20ish at times.  Hung out till 3ish and finally threw in the towel.  Ran into up river flow just west of Fillmore on our way out of town around 3:30.
