Pine North Side to Interstate 5

I followed Mitch out and got a climb to over 10k.  A short spell of flying with Logan and BK put us down the range and then per normal for me I began my slow descent down the drain on the south side wondering about f I’d even make the 33 over there when a swift out front saved me.  Hard to believe I even saw it as my allergy swollen and irritated orbitals were driving me mad, but it was a gift and soon enough I was back to 10+ and on my way to the convergence and a great spell at a windless and serene cloud base over Frazier and only needing to make the obligatory turns putting me into beautiful clouds.

Approaching the I-5 and far behind Logan and Brian I split the Tehachapi foothills and got blown East, now low, and dirted soon after about 50 kilometers.

A fine day with an amazing crew of great friends that was soon disrupted by an unfortunate, unforgettable, and tragic multiple vehicle head on collision near Piru that steered our elevated, joyful, aqueduct swimming day in another direction. Regardless, BK had a magical birthday flight on his beautiful spanking new Trango and we all had a great time hiking and flying Pine! It truly is a blessing to call that site a backyard.
