I launched Marshall just before noon on Friday following 7 or 8 PGs who were all planning on big flight before me.  I landed even with the same field but in Leona Valley at the 62-mile mark.  Alex (Dizzy) landed at 72.6 miles for a new PG site record and Dmitri turned around when he hit MIG Alley near Bouquet Reservoir and landed right next to me after having passed over my head earlier.  Not everyone got lucky.  It was a spotty day at the local area to say the least.  Who knows what Saturday really has in store.  Here's the view from just under 12K at Pearblossom.  There will be a lot to narrate if I make a slide show from the 2800 stills my GoPro shot.
